Comprehensive Tire Road Hazard Warranty in Mississauga

At Meadowvale Auto Repair Specialists (MARS) in Mississauga, ON, we understand that unexpected tire damage can be frustrating and costly. That’s why we offer a tire road hazard warranty to protect your tires from non-repairable damage incurred during normal driving. Our protection plan covers tire repair and repairing or replacing eligible tires, ensuring you get the most value from your purchase.

What is a Tire Road Hazard Warranty?

A tire road hazard warranty provides coverage for tires that are damaged due to road hazards such as potholes, nails, and debris. It offers financial relief by covering the repair costs or providing credit toward replacing tires that cannot be repaired.

Our warranty applies to passenger, light truck, and performance tires sold and installed at MARS. However, it only covers non-repairable damages sustained during normal driving conditions. Run-flat tires deemed unrepairable by the manufacturer are not included in this warranty.

Coverage and Program Details

Our tire road hazard warranty provides coverage for three years from the date of purchase or until the tire wears down to 3/32” tread depth, whichever comes first. Tires are considered worn out at 2/32” tread depth, meaning coverage will not extend beyond reasonable wear.

Making a Tire Road Hazard Warranty Claim

If a tire purchased from MARS sustains road hazard damage and is deemed non-repairable within the first 12 months or the first 2/32” of tread wear, you will receive a full credit for the original purchase price of the tire. If the tire is older than 12 months or has worn more than 2/32” from the original tread depth, you will receive a credit based on the unused percentage of wear applied toward the purchase of an equivalent tire.

This coverage is not transferable.

Credit Calculation Process:

  • We determine the original purchase price of the tire.
  • The percentage of remaining tread depth (above 4/32”) is calculated.
  • The credit amount is determined by multiplying the original list price by the remaining tread percentage.
